Vegan Doughnuts

Nothing beats coming home to a hot drink and a home-baked good of any variety after a long walk or run in these colder months. We are quite literally drooling over these chocolate vegan doughnuts by Chloe from All Things Healthy, topped with our Cinnamon + Pecan granola for a subtly sweet crunchy crust. 

Makes 6 


  • 1 cup spelt flour 
  • 1/3 cup cocnut sugar 
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda 
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder 
  • 1tbsp cacao powder (wet) 
  • 1 flax egg 
  • 4tbsp coconut yoghurt 
  • 6tbsp almond milk 
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 3tbsp melted coconut oil 
  • 1/8 cup chopped pecans 
  • 1/8 cup dark choc chunks 


  • 2tbsp vegan butter 
  • 3tbsp icing sugar 
  • 1tbsp cacao powder 
  • 1tsp almond milk 


  • Cinnamon + Pecan granola 



Preheat the oven to 180C and grease a 6 hole doughnut pan.

Mix the dry doughnut ingredients together in a large bowl.

Mix the wet doughnut ingredients together in a separate bowl.

Add the wet mix to the dry and mix to combine.

Pour into your prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.

Allow to cool before removing from the pan.

Beat the frosting ingredients together.

Spread over the top of the doughnuts and decorate with the pecan granola.
