Summer Smoothie Bowl with Apple + Peanut Granola

This smoothie bowl is perfect for those summer days when you fancy something really comforting, yet fresh at the same time. It combines the traditional spiced fruit flavours of an apple pie with the texture and refreshing nature of a smoothie bowl.

I've blended a whole apple with frozen banana and avocado to give a delicious thick and creamy texture which contrasts so well with the Spoon Apple + Peanut granola that I've topped it with. Adding a little wheatgrass gives an extra superfood boost and also makes this bowl a lovely green colour. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/3 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp wheatgrass (optional)
  • 1/2tsp ground cinnamon
  • Small handful of Apple + Peanut granola

Method:

  • Blend together all ingredients and pour into a bowl
  • Top with the granola and any additional toppings that take your fancy
  • Enjoy!
