As long as you know how to, it's easy to get a protein-packed breakfast. However, if you’re not so sure or want to change it up a little, we have some options for you. Our protein-based breakfast and snack ideas are quick and easy, perfect for the busier days in life when you need a breakfast on-the-go or something for the little hunger in between without reaching for unhealthy alternatives.

Prepare protein cereal bars for work or the gym

If you have time at the weekend, you can get creative in the kitchen by baking some of your own cereal bars. This can save you money on buying them in store, and you can also limit the amount of sugar you put in. Our Low Sugar One granola is a source of protein and great to use when baking your gym or work snacks. You could also try adding some peanut or almond butter.

Make smoothies packed with fruit and veg

Making smoothies is a great way to include protein in your breakfast - and you can take them with you to work! It also helps you use up any leftover fruits and vegetables. Once you’ve decided on your key ingredients, you can add some Greek yogurt, almond milk or a spoonful of peanut butter for some extra protein.

Opt for a cereal which contains nuts

Nutty cereals are an easy way to get some more protein into your diet, particularly if you’re veggie or vegan. Choosing granola or muesli that contains almonds, walnuts or cashews, like our The Nutty One muesli, means you have the perfect breakfast base. As well as eating it for breakfast, you can also use it for baking healthy snacks.

Try The Breakfast Pot for a protein-based alternative to cereal

If you’re not a fan of a bowl of cereal in the mornings, or you’re always eating your breakfast while you’re out and about, a granola yogurt pot is the best way to have a quick and healthy protein-packed breakfast. Our Breakfast Pot is made with Icelandic-style Hesper Farm Skyr yogurt and is naturally high in protein, with 14-16g per pot. These pots are a great alternative for breakfast on the go, but they can also be enjoyed as a healthy snack at any time of the day.

Plan ahead to ensure you maintain a balanced diet

The most important thing is to be mindful of what you’re eating. Make sure that you’re getting a balanced diet, with enough of the right vitamins and nutrients. As long as you plan ahead and think up creative ways to incorporate protein sources into your breakfasts, snacks, and general diet, it’s easy to get the right amount of protein!

We hope this blog has helped you with some new and exciting ways to incorporate protein into your breakfast. Keep an eye on our recipe inspiration for even more ideas!
